CARING FOR YOUR JEWELLERY

Many factors can influence the condition of your jewellery.  It is normal for silver to tarnish over time but wearing your jewellery is the best way for keeping it looking beautiful and shiny for many years to come.

  • Protect your jewellery from knocks, scratches, chemicals, sunlight and extreme temperatures.

  • Do not wear your jewellery in the shower, bath, swimming pool, in the sea or doing housework, yes – even washing the dishes.

  • Avoid spraying perfume, deodorant or applying creams near or whilst wearing your jewellery.

  • Due to the increased use of hand sanitisers, please ensure your remove your jewellery prior to application and ensure your hands are fully dry before replacing your jewellery.  We also all have different skin ph levels so how we react to jewellery will vary from person to person.
  • Store your jewellery in individual pouches or boxes to stop them getting damaged and tangled.  If using tissue paper ensure that it is acid free.

  • If you want to restore shine to your silver jewellery, use a silver polishing cloth instead of a dip treatment.  This will be more gentle for the stones and more effective on the metal.

  • Please take extra care with gemstones as many are quite delicate.  Hot water and harsh chemicals should be avoided at all times.  Most stones can be cleaned with a clean, soft, damp cloth but very porous stones e.g. turquoise, opals, pearls, emeralds and amber should be cleaned with a dry soft cloth only.  Do not use tissue paper or paper towels to clean gemstones as they can cause scratching.

All jewellery will be sent out in a branded gift box, faux suede pouch or eco cotton pouch depending on the item.  A care card and a complimentary polishing cloth will also be included.

If the item is a gift I can arrange for it to be sent directly to the recipient.  A photo will be sent to you for approval prior to it being despatched.

For all other items, please see individual listings for packaging details.
